Over the course of the last four decades TNA Struggling has tried to convert itself into a opponent to the WWE. Unfortunately they have been incapable to program the X Department wrestlers in a style that will entice anyone other than the serious wrestling lovers.
The only wrestler that TNA has who could be described as a prospective large celebrity is Samoa Joe and the existing innovative route is risking a seasons value of celebrity creating.
There's an additional PR issue that TNA encounters. There are a few too many old encounters on their reveals, individuals that were celebrities (in some cases) but are too old to be entirely reliable in the top level any more. Using titles like Hurt and Scott Steiner might get a one off scores force, but by putting them in headline argument TNA creates itself look like WCW 6 decades ago.
How To Contend With WWE
So having recognized why I don't think they are prepared to contest with WWE, what do I think they can do to get ready?
Actually I think they have all the necessary components already set up in the organization. The secret to success to my thoughts is not to create an effort to be WWE or WCW. They don't have the promotion energy to go go to go and even in the best situation situation, they won't have that energy for at least 4 more decades.
What they do have is the skills to win over particular categories of wrestling lovers. Those categories combined would probably still not come near to WWE's finish industry, but they would provide it with enough mindshare to really begin to develop the celebrities that can create them a opponent.
As I said, TNA Struggling has the components it needs it just isn't using them. The X-Division is something that can't be seen elsewhere on tv and it naturally attracts the serious wrestling fan. The kind of individual who would go to a Ring of Respect display. On its own though it does not entice the kind of individual who comes to my website once monthly to examine the newest PPV outcomes. For that you need feuds, not unique suits. The same is real for the tag division.
TNA is also able to out-hardcore WWE's ECW item since the TNA routine is so much less heavy than ECW's with few home reveals.
